Robert Ivan is Metaprinter Inc.’s Founder and Senior Developer. “I have over 6 years media experience in the newspaper industry at all levels of production in print and online. I have formal training in New Media, Finance, Marketing, and Design at NYU. I began blog.metaprinter.com in 2006 reporting on innovation and convergence in newspapers and new media and the site has really taken off”. Read his guest posts on SeekingAlpha or learn more about him here. Informally I’ve been dorking around on the web since about 2000.
During the summer of 2008, Robert was a graduate intern in the production department of The Washington Post where, among other things, he created the concept for a presidential debate Twitter application on washingtonpost.com which was implemented successfully at twitter.com/thefix. He has also been a lead press operator for The Star-Ledger in Newark, NJ and a press operator for Dow Jones and Company in South Brunswick, NJ.
You’ll notice there are no ads on metaprinter. Currently Robert teaches in the Computer Science Department at Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey and is a Front End Developer at NJ marketing company Delia Associates.
Robert received an A.S. in applied sciences from Brookdale Community College, a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Colorado and a M.A. in graphic communications management and technology from New York University. He is available for consulting and speaking engagements. The opinions expressed by Robert Ivan in this blog do not reflect that of my employers past or present
